Okay Was talking with Dave Woodson yesterday about SM and made a comment about someone doing it wrong and hurting themselves. Being an open leader isn’t a good thing if you are a tool. The dude over at Scott-e-vest obviously is one and would better serve his company by not speaking. Granted, I’d never heard of them before this so to some that’s a “marketing win.”
Was just going to send Dave the links but thought maybe some others might enjoy seeing this as well. I would have just tweeted a link to it but it’s kind of all over the place on Loren’s site (didn’t categorize a couple) so thought easier to just put here with a few notes.
It all started with a “funny” story from Loren.
Which got followed up by this great piece by Loren going off on the response to the video by the CEO of SeV
Now, I thought that was awesome enough, but then the CEO of SeV just wouldn’t let it go and dropped these next great ones that Loren shared.

You have to listen to the voicemails in the second one to truly appreciate how bad this guy can make himself and his clothing brand look. He even talks about how this is helping get the word out about the brand in the last posts VM.
Some people like to say you can’t do it wrong in Social Media but I think this is a pretty clear case of someone who is screwing the pooch. While I am not a huge fan of the puppet bit and the people he interviews, Loren did an awesome job with this and love his Monday Matter/Tech Tuesday bits. He’s one of those people who is willing to point out what these other marketing peeps don’t want you to hear.
So Dave (and anyone else), enjoy.
This is the best post ive seen in awhile… LOL. I would say Loren is bordering and toeing the line also, if not crossed. Social Media has more drama than the The Bachelor, or Days of our Lives.
